Rustic Handmade Stool25€

An early 20th-century three-leg stool in solid hardwood, likely elm or chestnut. Entirely handmade, with uneven legs and simple peg construction, it shows the direct and utilitarian nature of rural European craftsmanship.

The thick seat bears deep patina, visible cracks and heavy surface wear from decades of use. Tool marks, irregular joints and a curved leg give the piece strong visual presence. One leg is uneven, making the stool unstable for sitting. It is best suited for decorative use or as a plant stand.

This kind of furniture was built quickly with what was on hand, often by the user themselves. Each piece was unique by necessity. What remains today is an object full of texture and history.

It works well in interiors that mix old with new, offering contrast and a sense of age. Place it next to a sofa, in a hallway or use it to elevate a favourite plant or sculpture.

Treated and cleaned. Woodworm holes are old and inactive. Wear consistent with age. Not suitable as seating.
